Alaska 2015
We were in Alaska for 23 days and took a lot of impressions home with us. We had a lot of wonderful experiences - even if I initially thought there would be fewer photos this time. The weather was - to say the least - not good for the first few days. Rain, rain, rain ... But that belongs to Alaska like bears, moose, caribou and salmon.
But things turned out differently, the weather got better, and despite the rain I took a lot of photos. The country is beautiful, the pure air, the mountains, wildlife, glaciers and the unbelievable size and breadth make you rave.
However, I do not want to hide one critical point. In autumn it is hunting time and already at the beginning of our tour the roads and also remote areas were in the hands of the hunters. The quads armed with rifles could be seen everywhere - as well as the hunted animals and antlers on the vehicles. Hence, it was difficult to encounter wild animals as they (luckily) retreat. I didn't realize that because our trips to North America so far have always been in the spring.
However, I will never forget two experiences: the northern lights and the migration of salmon
I couldn't get enough of the northern lights and was around the campfire until 3 a.m., marveling at the sky and taking photos.
The salmon were beautiful and cruel to look at at the same time. The unimaginable amount of fish - and the bitter end ...
But now have fun looking at the photos
