India 2020
India has been on our travel destination list for some time. This year the time had come. The travel planning began - as so often with us - only at the end of December. Our departure was already set for the beginning of February. Since India is an incredibly large country, we looked for help with the planning and found great support from the tour operator AT-Reisen. There they put together a very interesting tour that combined culture and, above all, the wonderful national parks in India.
Already on arrival you experience a kind of culture shock ... so many people and without honking the horns nothing works when driving and in the traffic. You experience the opposite in the national parks, which are well organized. The admission times are precisely regulated, as are the number of vehicles and the districts that can be entered. Only 20% of the park area is released for tourism. The park is closed one afternoon a week and the daily visiting hours leave several hours of rest for the animals. We haven't seen anything like this in any other country. We were able to discover and observe a lot of animals - and we had very special moments with the majestic tigers ...
India is loud and at the same time quiet, ritual, colorful, crazy, wide, rich and poor, exciting - and so fascinating! I was very impressed by the contrasts between nature and wildlife, an incredible number of friendly people, culture and the bright colors.
See for yourself what we have experienced ...
